The German Cafe

Our family restaurant was formed in 1985 by Alice, Caroland and Harvey Hudson. Alice brought many wonderful German recipes with her from Germany after leaving her homeland in the 1950's. These recipes formed the basis for the dishes prepared at the restaurant.  All dishes are prepared from scratch, including all of the desserts.

We are located in a renovated cotton warehouse circa 1860. The exposed beams and old brickwork add to the old world feel of our restaurant.

There is plenty of free parking right in front of the building!

There are many wonderful shops on the three levels of the Cotton Exchange to see before or after your visit to our restaurant, something for everyone in the family!
